A 25-year old self-proclaimed fitness freak and foodie living in Vancouver’s West End, I love sharing my passion for health and fitness with those around me. I’ve always been a pretty active chick, having been a competitive dancer and figure skater for much of my youth and an avid outdoor enthusiast. However all the health benefits of physical activity were being overshadowed by the negative effects of my love for booze.
It took a few years, but I began to realize that was not how I wanted to live my life. I knew I could amount to things greater than what I was setting myself up for, so I decided to clean up my act and put down the beer can. I replaced drinking with educating myself about proper fitness and nutrition and dedicated myself to living the life I knew I was capable of living.
I toyed with the idea of becoming a personal trainer for a couple of years but didn’t believe that I was “fit enough” or a “good enough role model”. As my strength and endurance grew so did my confidence, and after a year of hard work and lots of studying, here I am; a BCRPA Personal Trainer!
While I am open to helping anyone achieve their health and fitness goals, I am especially interested in helping women develop confidence and recognize the strength, both physical and mental, that lies within them. Every individual is unique and therefore deserves his or her own plan of attack for achieving goals. I am confident that my varied fitness experiences and thirst for knowledge will allow me to devise exercise programs that will help you reach your goals safely and efficiently.
When I’m not working on my fitness grind I enjoy cooking and researching new recipes, expanding my knowledge in a variety of areas, reading & writing, and taking long strolls along the Seawall or through the city with my boyfriend and partner in crime.
